Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation

CES or Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation is a gentle safe drugless tool that is FDA approved for treating depression, anxiety, and insomnia.

In use for 40 years around the world this gentle little device that looks like a little pocket radio connects to the earlobe with soft clips. A gentle tingling current is adjusted until felt or until it makes one smile.  The unit fits in the pocket and can be used any time of the day for 30 or 45 minute sessions while doing other things.

The therapeutic procedure delivers low level battery-powered current that improves cerebral circulation, lowers anxiety neurotransmitters, and raises mood neurotransmitters.  The benefit is not just temporary but additive and adaptive over time.

Beyond it’s approved applications there is a tremendous body of international research on other conditions including ADHD, addiction treatment, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, and more. The adaptive benefits of mood and sleep can have profound impacts. www.stress.org has wonderful resources.

CES can be used alongside conventional therapy for mood and of course alongside nutrient and herbal treatment approaches. We use the CES during Bio-Thermal therapy® treatments often as well as prescribing for home use.
